Controversial Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen will be visiting Australia next week to appear as a guest on both radio and TV, the former star of Two and a Half Men revealed.

According to Sheen, he will visit Australian on May 7 to co-host the Nova breakfast show with host Scott Dooley.

Dooley on Wednesday played an audio discussion with Sheen where the troubled actor told of his plans to visit the land Down Under.

"I'm coming to Australia. If I leave May 6, and cross the international timeline, I'll probably be there, [on] July 3rd." Sheen declared.

"Then we'll do a TV show, and film it also, and I'll bring some scripts and do some scenes from Two And A Half Men and show everybody how it should have been done.

"Dools and Sheen... epic as always."

Dooley met Sheen when he interviewed the actor in March and has since became friends. The Australian host was even invited by Sheen in his Los Angeles home. He has also joined Sheen in some of his tours and believes the actor would make it in Australia.

"The details are vague and he didn't tell me what his exact plans are, but he said he's coming out and I'm more than confident that he will," Dooley said.
