“Castle” Season 7 returns Mar. 16 on ABC with a new episode titled, “Hong Kong Hustle.” In this week’s new episode (also known as "Castle 7x17"), Stana Katic’s Kate Beckett deals with some insecurities triggered by a guest character. Episode 17 welcomes Linda Park as Inspector Zhang.

Spoiler alert: This update contains “Castle” Season 7 spoilers. Read on at your own risk if you have not watched the most recently aired episodes.

Episode 17 spoilers indicate Beckett will be showing some insecurities in “Castle” Season 7. Inspector Zhang is like an “even better” version of Rick Castle’s (Nathan Fillion) wife. Show boss David Amann also told TVLine Zhang is “more accomplished” and proficient.

When “Castle” Season 6 aired in late-2013, Stana Katic and Lisa Edelstein showed viewers some very good mentor-apprentice rapport at the FBI. Edelstein’s Agent McCord is a role model for Beckett. Episode 17 may have a different relationship to show the audience: Inspector Zhang is supposed to be Beckett’s equal.

Episode 17 of “Castle” Season 7 is expected to carry with it some hints at what happens next to Rick and Kate as husband and wife. This week, however, the show is about what goes on in Beckett’s mind when she meets a supposed equal who appears to have accomplished more than she has in life.

“Castle” Season 7 features many episodes that tackle Beckett and Castle’s marriage. Episode 17 appears to be tackling mostly Beckett’s thoughts in relation to the case of the week. ABC’s episode synopsis also points out that Beckett will find her Hong Kong colleague and the victim rather suspicious.

It is a good move on the part of Amann and series creator Andrew W. Marlowe to draw the viewer’s attention back to Beckett as a woman at work in “Castle” Season 7. However, some viewers are wondering: When are we looking back into Rick Castle’s mystery? What really happened to Rick when he disappeared for two months?

Meanwhile, on Twitter, Stana Katic often engages “Castle” fans and Cas-kett (Castle and Beckett) shippers with updates and photos. In one of her recent photo tweet, the actress treats her followers to a murder “scene” on the set.
