What occurred at the Boston Marathon earlier this week has had a big impact on the world, with the horrific tragedy leaving three dead and more than 100 people injured as of late. However, it seems nothing is keeping Prince Harry from attending the upcoming London Marathon, despite increased security fears following the blast.

The 28-year-old royal who is the patron of the London Marathon Charitable Trust is set to present medals at the event and is still very much on the list of attendees, with a St. James's Palace spokesman confirming his attendance but declining to comment any further.

"As far as we're concerned, there's nothing to suggest any change," he said.

The third in line to the British throne will also meet with select volunteers involved in the marathon and members of the St. John ambulance.

In a Facebook post, the organizers of the London event announced that the race will still push through despite the Boston incident.

"We fully expect that Sunday's race, registration and associated events will go ahead as originally scheduled... We are currently reviewing all our security arrangements with the Metropolitan Police, and we will post the latest information on all the events through Twitter, Facebook and emails," the post read.

In terms of safety, Sports Minister Hugh Robertson stood to claim that he is "absolutely confident" that the event that Harry will be attending will be kept safe.

When asked if he thinks the event should pull through, he affirmed, "Yes, I do. These are balance of judgments but we are absolutely confident here that we can keep the event safe and secure."

Well, if we think about the confidence of these officials on the security of the London Marathon amid threats, it seems that we can be rest assured that Prince Harry will be kept safe.

More than 36,000 runners are expected to take part in the marathon, while hundreds of thousands would line the streets to watch.
