For its season finale, “Blue Bloods” promises to deliver an action-packed episode that will rock every Reagan. On May 6, the episode titled “Blowback” deals with a relevant and controversial issue: an officer embroiled in a case of shooting unarmed man. Frank (Tom Selleck) and Erin (Bridget Moynahan), along with the mayor and the DA office find themselves on the receiving end of a public outrage after the erring policeman goes scot-free.

The upcoming installment will also feature other “Blue Bloods” cast members including Jamie (Will Estes), Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), Henry (Len Cariou), Linda (Amy Carlson), Nicky (Sami Gayle), Det. Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) and Officer Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray).

According to TV Guide, Frank, Erin and the mayor receive a backlash from the public when a cop wasn’t indicted for shooting a teenager. Meanwhile, Danny delves into a shooting incident that victimised a police officer, which could have been a case of retaliation.

CBS has posted a sneak peek of the “Blue Bloods” May 6 episode on its official site. In the trailer, Erin informs that the public is angry about the shooting incident. Danny replies that it’s their problem, but Erin corrects her, “Actually, it’s ours. Frank succinctly yet comprehensively sums up their predicament: “The trust between cops and the public broke down.”

“Blowback” is directed by David Barrett and written by Ian Biederman. KSite TV also named other actors and actresses who will be seen in "Blue Bloods" Season 6 episode 22. The upcoming run will feature recurring cast Tony Terraciano (Jack Reagan), Andrew Terraciano (Sean Reagan), Abigail Hawk (Abigail Baker), Gregory Jbara (DCPI Garrett Moore), Robert Clohessy (Lt. Gormley) and David Ramsey (Mayor Poole).
