Actor Jeremy Kewley from Melbourne pleaded guilty to 19 child sex offences committed against boys as young as nine, indecent assault, making and possessing child pornography at the County Court of Victoria on Wednesday, March 30.

The former "Neighbours" star is accused of sexually assaulting 16 young boys after luring them to his home for "screen tests" and forcing them to wear tight Lycra costumes. Kewley apparently filmed the boys and touched them inappropriately while he wrestled, strangled and kissed them, the court heard.

He had 12 boys attend his home in Brighton over several days in June and July of 2011 to perform screen tests for the movie "Malevolence," and sexually assaulted them while he acted alongside the boys while the camera was running, Daily Mail reported.

He is not the only Australian actor in history to have been accused of the gruesome crime.

Martin Lynes

Earlier this month, former "Home and Away" actor Martin Lynes has been charged with sexually and indecently assaulting a woman in his home on the NSW Central Coast.

The act was said to have taken part between 2012 and 2014. He starred as Adam Sharpe in the long-running Channel Seven soap.

Lynes has been charged with nine offences including having sexual intercourse without consent, assault with an act of indecency, four counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and three counts of common assault, according to SMH.

He was arrested on March 1 and taken to Wyong police station where he was charged. Lynes appeared before Wyong Local Court, where he was granted conditional bail, on the same day.

Lynes is due to face court on April 27.

Maggie Kirkpatrick

Also a "Home and Away" star known for her role as Jean Chambers, Maggie Kirkpatrick was charged by Australian Police in Victoria in July last year.

Maggie was charged with two counts of indecent assault, as well as one count of gross indecency with a person under the age of 16 by Victoria Police's Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team. She has been found guilty of molesting a 14-year-old female fan more than 30 years ago.

She was put on the sex offender register and forced to undergo special treatment programs for offenders.

In early December last year, a judge set aside the conviction and dismissed all three charges.

The actress is best known for playing lesbian prison officer Joan Ferguson on the popular 1980s soapie "Prisoner." She also appeared in other Australian TV shows, including "Hey Dad!," "Blue Heelers," "All Saints" and "Water Rats."

Robert Hughes

In 2014, "Hey Dad!" actor Robert Hughes was also found guilty of sexually assaulting young girls and deliberately exposing himself to them.

It was in August 2012 when Hughes was arrested in London, and the New South Wales government sought his extradition to Australia. After being transferred to Australia, Hughes was charged with 11 counts of child sexual abuse and released on bail, according to the ABC.

The first allegation was made in March 2010 by his "Hey Dad!" co-star Sarah Monahan, stating that the actor engaged in inappropriate sexual misconduct to her on the set of the show.

His trial started in February 2014, in which he pleaded not guilty to 11 charges at Downing Centre District Court. And on May 16, 2014, Hughes was sentenced to 10 years and 9 months imprisonment with non-parole period of 6 years.

Rolf Harris

Australian entertainer Rolf Harris was also arrested in London in 2013. He was charged and convicted with 13 offences under Operation Yewtree, including four counts of making indecent images of a child and nine counts of indecent assault last year.

The veteran entertainer, who is currently serving a term of nearly six years after being convicted, is charged yet again for another seven counts of indecent assault on victims aged between 12 and 27 in February last month, the Crown Prosecution Service has announced.

Two weeks ago, he pleads not guilty to seven counts of indecent assault and one of sexual touching.

He will now face trial on April 14 at Southwark Crown Court in London after District Judge Quentin Purdy ruled the allegations were "too grave" to be dealt with.
