Australian Model and social media star Renee Somerfield is the latest celebrity to pose naked for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) in one of the groups social awareness campaigns.

The Australian beauty was born and raised in Sydney and now enjoys fame as an international model. She has been in the industry since her early teens and her blonde hair, green eyes and beautiful physique are now being featured in a campaign by PETA to promote going vegan.

Somerfield enjoys a successful career as a magazine cover girl and is constantly booked for various fashion campaigns in and out of Australia.

Renee is a devoted vegan and an animal rights activist as stated in her official Web site. This makes her the perfect endorser for PETA's latest campaign.

In the photos, Renee is naked and covered only in body paint in a design that resembles the planet Earth while she holds a sign in front of her sensitive parts with the words "Save the Eart, Go Vegan" written on it.

Veganism means not using animal products particulary in food. There are many levels of veganism and some transition into it from being vegetarian. The basic difference between the two is the elimination of ovo-lacto products such as eggs, milk, cheese and other animal-derived products which vegetarians still consume.

PETA believes that animal agriculture is a contributing factor to climate change as well as natural resource depletion and pollution not to mention a venue for inhumane practices in breeding and butchering animals.

This is not the first time that Somerfield will be involved in environmental campaigns. She had previously raised money to help the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and had also taken part in a campaign by LUSH cosmetic to benefit whale conservation.

Somerfield joins a long list of stars who have posed in risqué photos for PETA's various campaigns. Pamela Anderson, Elisabetta Canalis, Olivia Munn, Rocker Dave Navarro, "Real Housewives" star Bethenny Frenkel, Famke Janssen and Dita Von Teese are just some of the big names who have previously appeared in PETA ads.
