The good thing about open transfer windows and loan arrangement of players under a season-long contract is the fact that they have the chance to finally go home once their contracts expire. To some players, an expiring contract can also mean permanent retainer relations with a team. For Fernando Torres, Atletico Madrid will always be his home.

In loan contracts, either the loanee player gets a permanent contract by the end of the season, or up for grabs. This can be interpreted differently. For instance, it can mean that if the player performed really well during the season, it is most likely that he gets a contract renewal from the team which loaned him, at a much higher price probably. Otherwise, he is up for grabs for any other teams out there.

This is neither the case of the Spaniard star Fernando Torres who inked a deal to go home to Madrid following a permanent switch to AC Milan. Returning back to Madrid has brought so much delight for the Spaniard player. He was very expressive about his joy in returning home. For Torres, it is an honour to re-join Los Rojiblancos, his boyhood team. He spoke all about his delight at the International Sports Conference in Dubai.

Torres has always considered Atletico Madrid a very fantastic club over the last few years; taking note how the team has been winning many trophies over the years. According to Torres, there will always come a time when you must go back home. The Spaniard fondly recalled how he used to be standing in the stands when he was just a kid. He honestly expressed how it is but a privilege for him to go back and to enjoy playing and training again with Atletico Madrid. Torres cannot just conceal how happy he is to be able to go back. He expressed his happiness over time and according to him, he has been expressive about his delight for Atletico Madrid by saying many times how he can't hide where he came from.

Torres' first game was played in Atletico Madrid when he was just 17 and it was the player's dream that came true. He tried to go back since then to the first division but to no avail. According to Torres, he just couldn't lead the team back to Europe and he left for some reasons that serve both his and Madrid's interest.
