The death of a major character in the previous episode of “Arrow” Season 4 has all the heroes mourning. But, the synopsis of the next episode suggests that there may be a new twist following the death.

[Spoiler alert]

Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) died tragically in the previous episode, in which she wore her superhero costume of the Black Canary for the last time. But there is a new twist in the next episode.

According to the official synopsis of episode 18 titled “Canary Cry” Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) refuses to believe that his daughter is dead and will ask Nyssa (Katrina Law) to help him bring her back.

A sighting of the Black Canary in Star City confirms his suspicion that Laurel isn’t dead. Fans speculate whether Laurel faked her death in the hospital while she was alone with Oliver (Stephen Amell). She was fine moments before all the characters except Oliver left the room.

Comic Book Movie reports that the Black Canary sighting in Star City may be someone other than Laurel. Fans have been speculating that Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) may take on the role in “Arrow” Season 4.

Will Felicity become the new Black Canary or will a new character be introduced on the show? Fans will have to wait and watch the next episode to find out more.

Meanwhile, the heroes will struggle to come to terms with the death of their dear friend. Laurel has been a part of the show right from the first season and her departure comes as a shock to everyone.

John Diggle (David Ramsey) will be overcome by grief because it was his blind trust towards his brother Andy (Eugene Byrd) that got Laurel killed. The heroes will now have to deal with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), who has now got his powers back, and also Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) in the next episode of “Arrow” Season 4.
