Production of “Arrow” Season 4 finale has begun. A new report suggests that the last episode of the season will carry some hints about the storyline of Season 5. The report reveals that the tensions within the superhero team will grow in the future episodes of the TV series.

[Spoiler alert]

The title of the final episode is “Schism.” The title hints at the growing tensions within the superhero team. The death of Laurel (Katie Cassidy) has shaken the superhero team. Oliver (Stephen Amell) had previously remarked that the team was falling apart and now the team is in a most challenging situation.

Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) has already left the team, after she found it difficult to work with Oliver. The death of Laurel will leave John (David Ramsey) guilt ridden, as it was his blind trust of his brother Andy (Eugene) that led to the death.

Oliver had repeatedly warned John to be cautious when it comes to Andy, but John refused to do so. The next episode of “Arrow” Season 4 may show Oliver confronting John about his actions.

According to a report by Comic Book Movie, the relationship between Oliver and John may “splinter beyond repair.” The report speculates that the superhero team may be split into two teams, one team led by Oliver and the other team by John. The report also speculates that Felicity would side with John.

Hints of the possible split of the team may be featured in the next episode of “Arrow” Season 4 titled “Canary Cry.” Since the split is expected to be a major focus of the finale episode, this story is expected to continue in Season 5 as well. Meanwhile, the next episode is expected to introduce a new Black Canary who may take on the role of Laurel in the team.
