Marvel’s “Ant-Man” film has included a deleted scene for its upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release on Dec. 8, 2015. It reveals a reference to the Ten Rings organisation that abducted Tony Stark in the first “Iron Man” movie which was shown in 2008.

Entertainment Weekly (EW) posted a video of the exclusive deleted scene from the “Ant-Man” Blu-ray/DVD. It includes an audio commentary of the film’s star Paul Rudd and director Peyton Reed.

“We have a handful of extended scenes and there’s some slight [bonus scenes] stuff. Some of the stuff you’ll see in there was from a section we cut out of the movie which was, after Scott gets the Ant-Man suit, then he decides to do some less-than-than-heroic things with the suit,” Reed said in the EW report.

In the said EW video, we see the character Darren Cross, played by actor Corey Stoll, talking to buyers about the technology that they have to shrink objects like shipping containers and a giant waste dump. Reed points out that one of the buyers has a neck tattoo that looks like the Ten Rings symbol.

We Got This Covered notes that over the years, Marvel had a few nods to the existence of the Ten Rings organisation but never had a follow-up storyline. In "All Hail the King," Marvel's 2014 direct-to-video short film starring Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery and Scoot McNairy as Jackson Norriss, it was revealed that Norriss is indeed a member of the real Ten Rings organisation. Its leader is merely using the cover of the Mandarin to protect his true identity. However, the real Ten Rings group is mad at Slattery and Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) for using their organisation in their crimes.

Reed revealed on Nov. 10 that there’s a big chance of him reuniting with the miniature hero, according to a report from Yahoo Movies.

“We’re [still] in negotiations, but I think it’s looking pretty good,” the director told Yahoo.

According to Collider, Reed, Paul Rudd ( Scott Lang / Ant-Man) and Evangeline Lilly (Hope van Dyne) have already confirmed that they will be returning for the film’s sequel “Ant Man and the Wasp.”

However, Michael Douglas, who plays the character Hank Pym, hasn’t officially confirmed that he will be back to reprise his role. He did say that he was contacted about it and they want to negotiate it further.

"I just got a call recently – they want to negotiate for a sequel and I thought "That's great!"" Douglas told Collider.

"Hopefully, I won't have to carry quite as much expositional dialogue as the first one but I had a wonderful time doing it. Just a great, great time." he added.

“Ant-Man” is set to be released for digital download on Tuesday and on Dec. 8 on DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D. “Ant-Man and the Wasp” will be out in US theatres on July 6, 2018.
