The spirit of the two-faced legend, Edward Mordrake, returns in episode 4 of "American Horror Story-Freak Show." The second part of the Halloween episode is titled "Edward Mordrake" part 2. The episode is also set to tell the origin story of Twisty the Clown and also show the "grisly days" of Elsa Mars in Germany.

In the last episode, Ethel told the freaks about the carny superstition. If the freaks perform on the Halloween night, the spirit of Mordrake would arrive and take away with him the soul of a freak for his troupe. The con-artists, Stanley and Maggie Esmerelda, were also introduced in the episode. The duo made a deal with the curator of the American Morbidity Museum. She needs relics of the real freaks to revive the fortunes of her museum and Maggie and Stanley would not mind a reward of $5000.

The first part of the Halloween episode saw Maggie entering Elsa's camp as a fortune teller who has a crystal ball. She sold a vision to Elsa -- deafening applause for her and the arrival of an elegant, refined stranger who will make her a star under his guidance. On the Halloween night, Elsa rehearsed Lana Del Rey's "Gods & Monsters" to give an excellent performance in front of the stranger. The song summoned the spirit of Mordrake. He did not kill anyone in episode 3 but in episode 4, he may take with him the soul of a freak. The synopsis of episode 4 says, "Edward Mordrake continues his search for a Freak to add to his ghostly coterie."

Twisty did not kill anyone in episode 3. However, he abducted the elder brother of a little girl, who is afraid of clowns, and dragged him to his den. Dandy wore the clown costume and threatened to kill Dora but he could not do that. Later, he visited Twisty's little den to scare the little boy and the girl. The preview indicates that Twisty does not extend the hand of friendship towards Dandy. Dandy looks upset in the preview clip. He is seen screaming about someone ruining his Halloween. Also in the episode, Maggie and Jimmy are going to meet Twisty.
