The second night of "Almost Human" showcases Detective John Kennex and Dorian. They are sent off to investigate a high-profile missing persons and murder case that take them into the profitable world of Intimate Robot Companions (IRCs). The IRCs are also known as sexbots.

Meanwhile, Kennex looks to bring together a part of disturbed past.

"Almost Human" season 1 episode 1 started off in the year 2048. Science and technology have evolved at a very rapid pace. The streets and schools are flooded with unknown weapons and drugs. Violent and unidentified criminal organisations control and distribute the contraband. Crime is rising at an alarming rate (400%). The law enforcement department is in a tough spot as its officers are outnumbered. The agency come up with a new strategy and pairs every police officer with a combat-model android.
