There were no surprises for the first two picks in the 2015 NFL Draft as Jameis Winston went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the number one pick while Marcus Mariota followed at No. 2 to the Tennessee Titans. There were no major trades involving those picks even after reports that the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears were aggressively pursuing the Titans’ pick or Mariota.

The Eagles reportedly offered multiple picks including two first-rounders plus players Fletcher Cox, Brandon Boykin, Mychal Kendricks and others. The Titans said after drafting Mariota that they plan to keep him, according to general manager Ruston Webster.

In other news, the San Francisco 49ers traded their No. 15 pick to San Diego Chargers’ No. 17 plus future picks in 2015 and 2016. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions their No. 23 pick to the Denver Broncos in exchange for Manny Ramirez and future picks in the next two drafts.
