Three of today's best-selling recording artists have made the Guiness Book of World Records, proving that female solo artists are dominating the music scene.

Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Adele are the latest to join the roster of musicians included in the Guiness Book of World Records. Rihanna won the honor for being the first female artist to have No. 1 singles in the UK for five consecutive years, from her song "Rude Boy" up to her recent hit "Only Girl in the World." Rihanna, who was discovered by rapper Jay-Z, has won numerous Grammy awards for her music, including the Best Rap and Best Collaboration for her 2007 smash hit "Umbrella."

The gaudy and glitzy Lady Gaga also received a spot in the book for having the most Twitter followers amongst all musicians who have an account. Lady Gaga, who always does her best to shock with her outfits and stage antics, has won 14 Billboard music awards for the past two years and numerous Grammy awards.

British songbird Adele is the most successful World Record holder, with three titles under her bag. She has been named the first female artist to have simultaneous No. 1 records and singles in the UK top 5, a title that was previously held by The Beatles. Adele's hit album "21," gave her another title for being the first female artist to have an album at the top spot of the charts for 11 consecutive weeks. The album also gave the "Rolling in the Deep" singer Most Cumulative Weeks at the no.1 position in the UK charts, totaling 18 weeks.
