Kim Kardashian might be one of the most famous faces in the US, but a VIP at the Vera Wang show was surely clueless who the voluptuous personality is.

During the Sept. 13 Vera Wang fashion show, the former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, was dumbfounded about the buzz surrounding reality star Kim Kardashian, who was seated right across her. Although Albright confesses that she had no idea who Kardashian is, she is much into high fashion, stating Wang as one of her favorite designers.

"I'm into Vera," said Albright. "She's just fabulous and I love the things that she designs," says Albright in a report posted by Celebs Gather. Albright is also considered to be one of Wang's closest friends, securing her a seat on the front row, together with Beyonce and her sister Solange.

Though the night was filled with young trendsetters, Harper's Bazaar editor, Glenda Bailey, was gravitated towards the finesse style of the former Secretary of State. Because of the gaudy and statement accessories Albight dons in affairs and in political gatherings, Bailey has tagged Albright as a "trendsetter," comparing her to some of the younger fashion icons of today. Albright wore a leather skirt from Wang paired with a soft, billowing blouse.

Kardashian wore a royal blue of shoulder dress by the designer who also designed her wedding gown.
