Ouya, one of the competitors for budget console gaming, has just announced a new limited edition version of its Ouya console--and it marks three main differences from the regular device, according to CNet.

First, the new device flaunts a white paint job for both the controller and the console. Next, the storage capacity has been jacked up to double, from 8GB to 16GB. Lastly, it adds to the price for a total of $129, but this already gets you the limited edition console.

More tech news: Samsung is getting it on with the Tizen OS. Are you one of those who will get it?

The white Ouya is only available in North America for a holiday season promotion, one which you can get before December 8.

Ouya has also added to its list of games available for users to try for free, and it already has 500 games available.

Oculus Rift's new game and next-gen absence

A Kickstarter game has found life in the form of $1.3 million funds and support for the Oculus Rift.

IncGamers reports that Obduction from Cyan Inc. has chosen Oculus Rift as its first stretch goals, which is said to be optional for future players of the game. "We believe that playing Obduction through the lenses of an Oculus Rift will be a rich, immersive experience for those players fortunate enough to have the equipment to support it," Cyan in Obduction's Kickstarter page.

Now the next goal is to reach $1.7 million to add another world called Roadtrip, but the funding now continue over at obductiongame.com instead, since the funding period at Kickstarter is officially over.

For those who are expecting Oculus Rift to announce support for the PS4 and Xbox One, it's unlikely to happen, as Palmer Luckey, inventor of Oculus Rift, stated that consoles are far too restricting for the device.

While this may be a disappointment to console buyers who want to experience more with their PS4 or Xbox One, the PS4 owners have a possible advantage. Earlier reports have hinted that Sony is creating its own virtual reality headset, though there have not yet been concrete updates to the project.

Super Smash Bros and Sonic Lost World coming to Wii U

Wii U will be getting some sweet new games, starting with Super Smash Bros. Joystiq has spotted a screenshot of the game, which now features a new stage touted to have been inspired by the Super Mario Galaxy.

This will feature a new kind of experience, which will involve gravity-based styles of play. This may make the 18-player game even more worth playing with. Sadly, no confirmation has been given on whether this new stage will also be available for the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros, since there's no cross-platform play.

In addition, the demo for Sonic Lost World will debut on both the Wii U and the 3DS come November 21, something to keep you busy with for a full day before the Xbox One launch hits.

Videogamer reports that this demo will feature the Deadly Six, which Sonic must defeat with new moves and Colour Powers. There will be new terrains, racing stages, and more for the demo game.
