Criminal Minds Season 9 Episode 8 goes into the psyche of young killer "soldiers" who have been trained to obey and kill. And it even goes deeper into the life of Derek Morgan (played by Shemar Moore), something that has long been awaited by fans.

After a seemingly random murder at a diner, you see Morgan with his lady love at home. But viewers weren't able to catch as much as her name since she had to rush out for her own job.

At the BAU, Penelope Garcia (Kristin Vangsness) pointed out a very telling but funny truth about what Morgan just experienced: he himself just got "Morganed."

This is a pretty neural tone for what could be a surprisingly non-gory Criminal Minds Season 9 Episode 8. In this episode, the BAU team joins forces with Chicago's PD in order to solve a case of killings that were being executed by teenage killers.

After a shooting in a Chicago diner and a car bombing in a populated area, both ending as a suicide mass killing, the BAU team was able to apprehend one of the suspects whom they found to have been tortured and trained since they were young by an ex-cop.

With revenge riding on the unsub leader's mind, it became a close shave for the team when one of the trained soldiers even walked into the Chicago PD office with a bomb jacket strapped to her person. Thankfully, quick thought and action had allowed them to catch the true villain and save another potential soldier trainee from experiencing the horror of torture.

A happy beginning for Morgan--finally!

Going back to Morgan's interrupted quality time with his new lady, Criminal Minds Season 9 Episode 8 closes with a look at his private life again. If he had a rather cold awakening at 2:00 in the morning with both his girlfriend leaving for work and the team calling him in, he was set to have a great date night as a nice conclusion.

Beyond the tough man, sassy talker, and devoted family man, romance was really not definite in Morgan's role in Criminal Minds. In the past eight seasons, the most that he had for romance was dating a relative of a previous victim whose case the BAU team worked on.

Of course, there are the fans of the Morgan-Garcia sweet-talking gigs, but it's almost like an open secret that the extent of their relationship is platonically playful at best. The fact that nothing happened back in Season 7 when Morgan slept over at Garcia's means that there may not really be more than just playful banter.

And Criminal Minds Season 9 Episode 8 has sealed this deal and given Morgan fans more to deal with on their plate to add to his character. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moore said:

"I joke all the time that Derek's the most sexually repressed character on TV. Over the last eight seasons, you've learned about Morgan's family and childhood, but nothing about the romantic side of him. Now, we get to see another side of Morgan.
