The PS4 has been previously reported to have updated its terms, which in turn affected the possibility of reselling and renting PS4 games. Those who were concerned caught wind of the fact that the games are "licensed and not sold" to PS4 owners, which means that you cannot simply do as you wish, like resell or rent games, unless previously authorised.

But a statement from Sony as reported by VG 24/7 has confirmed that the new concerns are not necessary.

Sony Worldwide boss Shuhei Yoshida has taken it to Twitter to address the concerns, "If you are concerned about our new European TOS, we confirm that you are able to sell or share your disc PS4 products, including in EU."

Since the E3 days, Sony has been very friendly to gamers in the sense that they gave more leeway and freedom for those who want to share and play games with friends in a nostalgic manner as the PS3, as seen in the makeshift viral video featuring Adam Boyes and Yoshida himself.

Though there has been a ripple after the reports about the changes in terms, it seems that the concerns can be put to rest once more.

The PS4 UI revealed

Sony has finally showed off its user interface at a launch event in New York, and IGN was able to get the inside details of the features.

Some of the new things to expect would be facial recognition for those who are getting the PlayStation Camera along with the PS4. All you need to do is go through a one-time calibration for the console to get multiple views of your face for proper identification.

The PS4 UI also allows for creating temporary accounts, so you can let friends create temporary user accounts which will be erased after the temp is signed out.

As a matchup against Microsoft's UI, speed has also been improved for the PS4, so you can load functions immediately.

PlayStation Universe adds that there's also a convenience factor for PlayStation Plus subscribers, as the PS4 will check games that you've played over the past three months and search for any patch data available. If there are any, the patches will be downloaded and installed while in the background as you continue to play.

One last fun key point to remember is the Trophy Rarity, which tracks the number of PS4 owners that have earned a particular trophy in a given game. This allows you to see and classify trophies depending on the number of those who have attained it.

Two more games free with PS Plus

With the PS4 release date just two days away for North America, Sony is beefing up its PS Plus freebies, as it adds to more titles into the mix.

Joystiq reports that the indie game Don't Starve, as well as The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will be available for free on the PS Plus. The two games are yet to be launched, with Don't Starve slated for early January, while the latter game is out on Steam sometime early 2014. The two games will be free on PS Plus once they launch.
