'Zoo' Season 2 finale recap

In the episode titled "Clementine," which aired on Sept. 6, 2016, James and the rest of the team, including Logan (Josh Salatin), broke out of their prison in the island. Unfortunately, they discovered some new hybrid creatures that killed the scientists.

In an effort to save the team as well as Clementine from the TX gas effects, Mitch decided to sacrifice himself to the hybrids. They were able to cure Clementine, but they found her mum and stepdad already dead.

The team also learned that the animals were cured, thanks to the birds from Pangaea that have successfully reached the rest of the world. However, Jackson discovered that the cure for the animals also sterilized humanity.

The start of the 10-year time jump showed the hybrids reaching the mainland. Meawhile, an adult Clementine found Abraham and told him that Mitch is still alive and is working on a solution against the hybrids. The episode was directed by Michael Katleman and written by Nick Parker and Bryan Oh.

"Zoo" episodes air every Thursdays from 10-11 pm ET/PT on CBS. The next episodes after "No Place Like Home" are "Diaspora," which will air on July 6 and "Ten Years Gone," which airs on July 13.
