"The X Factor USA" judge Simon Cowell has been in hot waters recently following the consistent failure of the American edition of the Fox reality competition to rake in more audience to tune in weeks after it premiered in Sept 2013.

And recent developments prove that the soon to be daddy will be leaving the show and no SiCo will give out harsh remarks like he is known for to "The X Factor" hopefuls --- not to mention the same antics he was best recognized in on "American Idol."

Here are the top reasons Simon Cowell may leave X-Factor USA after its third season:

1. Poor ratings
“The X Factor USA” premiered in mid-September and it has disappointed officials again in terms of numbers. It debuted with not a very impressive 6.45 million viewers and 2.2 rating from audience with age bracket from 18 to 30 years old. The new numbers are apparently a lot lower than the 7.5 million viewers who watched out for Britney Spears debut on the show in Season 2 back in 2012.

The premiere’s figures also show a 17 percent loss of the viewers who glued to the tube last year. And as reported by IBTimes-AU last month, critics claimed Cowell should get worried, following the low ratings.

2. "The X Factor USA" may see its last season in 2013
The reality show begins in fall and it usually ends around Christmas day. Judging by the early numbers and audience share in the first month of Season 2, it is feared that Santa will not be kind to SiCo and Fox officials are highly likely to make Season 3 its last one.

The show still fails to get the audience watching despite the big promises made before it hits the tube in Sept. 2013. Critics noted surprise why the show even made it to Season 3.

3. Impact has yet to be seen from changes implemented on “The X Factor USA”
Early on the season, the players on the "The X Factor USA" have made things happened with all the changes and twists introduced on the show.

First is the four chair challenge which sees the creation of four categories --- boys, girls, over 25 and group - - each to be handled by four judges.

Second is the wild card twist which allows second chance for those kicked out early on the show. The game isn’t over for them as they will have a chance to be back in the competition if the audience decides they deserve another shot at million dollar prizes and record contract.

4. Gary Barlow’s exit from "The X Factor UK"
Gary Barlow has announced over the weekend that this may well be his last season on “The X Factor UK.” After three years on the show, Barlow said that it is time for him to leave his seat on the panel.

"I've been here for three years and I'm so glad that for my last year on the show I get to mentor you guys," Barlow said, according Sugar Scape.

And with an empty seat, SiCo is the first person fitting to replace Barlow in 2014.

Could SiCO make the move?
