The initial announcement of "WWE Immortals" was that it would be a free to play mobile game and would be developed by "Mortal Kombat" creators NetherRealms. Now through the "WWE Immortals" Facebook Page more details for the game have been revealed as the release date draws closer.

As speculated the game will be a fighting game rather than a traditional wrestling game with similarities to the mobile version of "Injustice: Gods Among Us" with over the top personalities and finishers. The game takes various WWE Superstars and cranks up their personalities and fighting styles to the max, making them more like comic book superheroes or fighting game characters.

These are the confirmed superstars so far for the "WWE Immortals" roster, though it's unsure if this is the full roster or if they were simply announced ahead of time. The superstars are: John Cena, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Sheamus, The Big Show, Triple H, The Rock, Roman Reigns and the stars of E's hit reality show "Total Divas" The Bella Twins.

Through the Facebook page and its various images, it is shown how these characters personalities were amped up to be fighting game appropriate. John Cena for example is wearing a suit similar to DC superhero Superman - a character fans always compare him to; similarly Triple H is designed like Conan The Barbarian and Sheamus is turned into a literal Celtic Warrior, while former Shield member Roman Reigns is dressed like an actual Roman Gladiator. Finally the Bellas - Nikki and Brie - are dressed in similar fashion to Mileena and Kitana from Mortal Kombat.

Two videos can be seen through the Facebook page and are marked private in WWE's youtube channel. These videos feature Triple H and The Bella Twins unleashing their finishing moves to their opponents that are once again similar to the special moves from "Injustice: Gods Among Us." Triple H brutally clobbers his opponent with a sledgehammer before finishing him off with his signature move The Pedigree, while Nikki and Brie use their numbers to their advantage as they outnumber their foe with a deadly tag team maneuver.

"WWE Immortals" will be available on Jan. 15, 2015 for Apple and Android devices. It will be free for download and will be developed by NetherRealms. More information is available on the WWE Immortals Facebook page.
