Two of the most popular characters in the books written by George R. R. Martin are Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen. Fans of the book series are eagerly waiting to see if the tow characters will meet in the upcoming book "Winds of Winter." Here is a look at what the fans predict their meeting could be like. [Spoiler Alert]

So far in the story, Tyrion has been busy trying to win the support of the mercenary army of the Second Sons for Daenerys while the city of Meereen faces the threat of an attack. Daenerys on the other hand is far away from the city with Drogon and has spotted the Dothraki horde led by Khal Jhaqo.

Will Tyrion win the war and help manage Meereen for Daenerys until her return? Some of the fans of the series at Westeros forum believe so. Although, some of the fans have pointed out that the author has said that the two characters will spend the most part of the book apart, fans speculate the events leading up to their meeting.

One theory is that Tyrion will meet Daenerys towards the end of "Winds of Winter" and he may be working for Barristan Selmy. A darker theory is that both Victarion and Tyrion find a way to claim a dragon each. According to the theory, Victarion could use his Dragon Horn and Tyrion could use his knowledge.

Meanwhile Daenerys could win Jhaqo's Khalasar over to her side using Drogon. Her return to Meereen, however, may prove to be difficult if Drogon refuses to go in that direction, according to one of the fans. She may however not take kindly to Tyrion riding one of her dragons or working with Brown Ben Plumm or Jorah Mormont.

Tyrion's ability to control a dragon will also confirm one of the fan theories that he is really not Tywin Lannister's son, but the result of an affair Tywin's wife Joanna had with the then king Aerys. This could also explain Tywin's attitude towards Tyrion.

Will Tyrion get to ride a dragon in "Winds of Winter"? What will be the circumstances of Daenerys Targaryen's return to Meereen? Fans of the book series eagerly await the brief encounter the two popular characters are expected to have in "Winds of Winter."
