The Royal couple added a dose of adventure to their 8-day stay in Canada as they participate in a Chinese dragon race against each other.

Both William and Kate joined the national dragon boating team, separated in two teams so the couple can enjoy a friendly competition. William's team won by a very small margin, a "close race" says the captain of Catherine's dragon boat, Stephen Gallant. Gallant added that William's team "started off strong out of the gate, but we caught up" in a report posted at the Sydney Morning Herald. According to royal security, the Duchess had practiced paddling before the Canadian trip to prepare for this exhibition, and her skill was evident as she tries to catch up with her husband's leading boat.

Prince William's team won by a small margin of a boat's length.
