The merciless night of “Live Eliminations” was back again on “The Voice” on Tuesday and took yet another singing sensation with it. The fate of the Top 10 contenders of the show now was in the hands of the viewers as it was their votes that counted the most. However, the Live Eliminations have been nightmarish for Korin Bukowski so far who was in the bottom two in both the previous eliminations.

The 23rd episode of “The Voice” season 9 began with Adam Levine’s performance on “Locked Away” with Rock City. The Top 10 contestants of this season of the show then took the stage to find out the viewers’ verdict. Host Carson Daly revealed that “The Voice” contestants made history as seven of the top 10 iTunes songs last night were from “The Voice” artists.

Carson then announces the name of the first contender to reach top 9, it was Emily Ann Roberts from Team Blake. The second contender to reach the semi-finals is Jordan Smith from Team Adam. Blake then makes the big revelation that Dolly Parton will join the show next week to mentor the top nine.

The next contestant to enter the semi-finals was Jeffery Austin from Team Gwen. Team Blake’s Barrett Baber followed Jeffery to the semi-finals and was declared safe. The remaining six contenders keep their fingers crossed hope for the best meanwhile. Carson then lets out on the name of the fifth contender who was in the safe zone, it was Team Pharrell’s only contender Madi Davis. Team Adam’s Amy Vachal was also declared safe. Team Blake’s Zach Seabaugh was the seventh contestant who was announced safe.

The contenders in the bottom three were - Korin Bukowski, Braiden Sunshine and Shelby Brown. Shelby too was saved and reached the semi-finals of “The Voice” season 9. The battle was now between the alums of Team Gwen - Korin and Braiden. Korin then hops on to the stage to perform Colbie Caillat’s “Try.” However, she fumbled up on the stage goofed up the entire song but her sportsmanship kept her going and she completed her performance. Braiden Sunshine from Team Gwen was the next to perform. He sang “Harder to Breathe” by Maroon 5.

Once the voting lines were closed, Carson announced that America instantly saved Braiden Sunshine while Korin Bukowski was sent back home.
