Kendall Jenner slamming US Weekly for its “bogus” report led the magazine to retract its story over “accuracy concerns.” The article, featured as an “exclusive report” by the website, claimed that Kendall herself said that she is okay with her father’s transition into a woman. Kendall used her Twitter to blast the report, saying she never even spoke to them.

On Thursday afternoon, Us Weekly was forced to remove its exclusive, online-only story titled “Kendall Jenner Breaks Silence on Bruce Jenner’s Transition: ‘I Will Always Love My Dad,” after Kendall announced to the world using her Twitter account that the story is fake. Khloe quickly supported her sister, retweeting the said post. Commenters on the particular post even lauded Kendall for speaking up.

For Us Weekly’s part, the magazine publication said that the said contentious interview was carried out by a “freelance journalist” at the Justin Bieber Comedy Central Roast last March 14. The publication also conducted its own investigation and deemed that there are concerns about the veracity of the interview.

“When Ms. Jenner denied, via Twitter, that the interview took place, Us Weekly immediately reached out to the freelance reporter,” the company’s statement reads. The “freelance journalist” is said to be persistent that the interview happened and the quotes are “accurate,” but in the end, the magazine editors still have doubts over the veracity of the interview and the circumstances under which the interview is said to have taken place. As a result, the company announced that the story would be retracted entirely and removed from the website. The company also offerd their apologies to Kendall and her family.

If there would be anyone to confirm Bruce’s transformation, it would be none other than the former Olympian winner himself. There were reports of him preparing for a docu-series to be shown in E network detailing his transformation, but a recent report by People magazine claims that the series was put on hold. According to the source, Bruce’s main goal is to bring awareness to the issue so that he could help those in the transgender community and he is now doubting whether E would be able to help him achieve the goal, or if a reality show format is the best way to do so. The source added that Bruce just wants to be taken seriously regarding his transformation so that the whole transgender community can benefit.
