One of the most exciting people to come on board “Supergirl” season 2 is Tyler Hoechlin, who will play Superman and cousin to Melissa Benoist’s Girl Of Steel. A teaser clip, which was just recently released, shows the two saving the day together for the first time.

The video, which was exclusively released by Entertainment Weekly, shows the two cousins answer to the same distress call, which they heard separately over the news. Supergirl, who got on site first, is pleased to see her cousin fly alongside her.

“Hey, cuz,” she says joyfully, as she tries to stop an army jet from crashing. “This looks like a job for both us.”

After their quick exchange, Superman uses his freeze breath to extinguish the flames from the engine failure, and he and Supergirl stop the machine from crashing on the ground.

“The two of them actually show up to the same crisis,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. “It’s not a turf war, they just both heard about the same tragedy on the news and both flew into action.”

Kreisberg also discussed how the two lean on each other for support, as they both feel a loneliness that is unique to them. “Both of them remark that that loneliness, that alienation, that isolation goes away when they are together,” he explained.

Another clip, recently provided by The CW, shows various scenes from the upcoming second season of “Supergirl.”

Not only are there various clips of the superhero cousins stopping destruction, but Kara Danvers introduces Clark Kent to those that make up her private world as well. Cat Grant, Alex Danvers and Winn Schott show extreme interest in Clark, which does not necessarily bode well with Kara. In different scenarios, she rolls her eyes, cries out “enough” and asks them to “breathe.”

“Supergirl” season 2 premieres on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW in the US. Australian audiences can catch the series on Syfy.
