Dogs are considered a man's best friend. They protect and keep company. But in the case of Indonesian Andre Lumboga, his seven dogs are the cause of his demise as he has been allegedly gorged on after his return to Manado from a holiday trip on Wednesday, Aug 31.

His body was found just this Monday when a neighborhood guard who quipped that during his regular roving, he chanced upon the house of Lumboga, 50, and got curious on the luggage still piled up messily at the front yard, a few days after Lumboga came home in Batam, Sumatra.

Ever more curious and cautious at the same time, the guard approached the house, and upon smelling something foul, he called the police, says a Reuters report.

"His skull was found in the kitchen, and his body was found in front of his house," local police chief Eriyana told reporters.

"We suspect that dogs were hungry, so they attacked Andre, because they had not been fed for 14 days," Eriyana continued telling the reporters.

Also scattered in the yard were bones from two other dogs, which were believed to have been devoured by the 7 canines.
