Mac version of the fourth instalment of “The Sims 4” is now downloadable via Origin client at no extra cost provided the player has already own the game for Windows PC. Saves from the Windows PC can also be transferred to the Mac version by simply using a USB flash disk drive.

‘The Sims 4’ Mac Version Available For PC Version Owners Via Origin Client

Several months after the official release of “The Sims 4” for Windows PC, Electronic Arts and Maxis finally launched the game on Mac computers worldwide. Simmers who already owned the Windows PC version of the game through digital or physical copies can now download the Mac version using a valid Origin account according to GameSpot.

Aside from exclusive entitlement of “The Sims 4” Mac version among Windows PC game version owners, players can also transfer save files to Mac computers by simply using a USB flash disk drive. Here are the instructions on how to do it based on the details from the official game website:

1. Go to the My Computer on the Windows PC.

2. Go to the Documents folder.

3. Select the Electronic Arts.

4. Open “The Sims 4” folder.

5. Connect the USB flash disk drive. Make sure it has enough space for the file folder.

6. Copy and paste the “saves” folder from “The Sims 4” folder to the USB flash disk drive.

7. Disconnect the USB flash disk drive and then connect it to the Mac computer.

8. On the Mac computer, open Finder.

9. Go to Documents.

10. Go to Electronic Arts.

11. Open “The Sims 4” folder.

12. Copy and paste the “saves” folder from the USB flash disk drive to the “The Sims 4” folder on the Mac computer. Remember, any “saves” folder will be overwritten by the file folder from the USB flash disk drive. It is recommended to rename any “saves” folder on the Mac computer prior to transfer for later use.

EA and Maxis have the planned the launching of the first expansion pack called “Get To Work” on April 2015. It includes four new jobs including Emergency Room Doctor, Police Detective, Scientists and Entrepreneur.
