Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom specs revealed via GFXBench test having 19 MP rear camera and 2 MP camera. But the benchmarking test did not reveal the optical zoom capabilities that featured on Galaxy S4 Zoom.

Galaxy S5 Zoom does not feature HDR rich tone on its rear camera based from the result and the benchmark did not show if the device has optical zoom capability.

Galaxy S5 Zoom vs. Galaxy S4 Zoom

If compared with Galaxy S4 Zoom, S5 Zoom features several improvements from almost every hardware components. Samsung improved the display significantly on S5 Zoom, allowing HD videos for playback, including import files.

Also, S5 Zoom features 4.8 inches screen that significantly larger than the 4.3 inches of S4 Zoom plus 720p resolution under Super AMOLED display technology.

In terms of performance, S5 Zoom beats S4 Zoom with hexa-core processors and larger 2 GB RAM backed up by an upgraded mail graphics chipset. The rear camera on S5 Zoom has higher megapixel of 19 than S4 Zoom's 16 MP.

Galaxy S5 Zoom runs the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat that features various cloud services, immersive mode for full-screen viewing and probably the same ultra power saving mode found on Galaxy S5 original.

Users will get twice as much storage capacity on S5 Zoom with 16 GB and may even support 128 GB microSD card, which Galaxy S5 original can. S4 Zoom only supports up to 64 GB microSD card and only features 8 GB internal storage with 5 GB user available.

Galaxy S5 Zoom upgrades signify that Samsung addressed the unimpressed hardware specs on the previous generation, allowing owners to store more files, use more services from Google and play videos with HD resolution. The device is expected to be unveiled in May 2014 and probably to be released in July, at the same time with Galaxy S4 Zoom last year.
