While on their 5th day visiting Canada, William, The Duke of Cambridge took part in an emergency helicopter landing drill while his wife Catherine, watched on.

While not busy minding Royal duties as the Duke of Cambridge, William spends his time as a Royal Air Force pilot in his hometown of Wales. William made his Canadian visit more worthwhile as he volunteered to take part in a helicopter activity called "waterbirding" on Monday in Charlottetown, the capital of Prince Edward Island. The Prince handled a huge Sea King helicopter and maneuvered it on the lake. Each year, six members of Prince William's air force squad come to this Canadian area to master the skill of waterbirding, which is used as a last resort when helicopter engine failure strikes.

"He was having quite a bit of fun," says Major Patrick MacNamara, the navigating officer of The Duke's helicopter drill. MacNamara adds "and he certainly knows what he's doing in an aircraft" in a report posted at Sydney Morning Herald. Macnamara concluded his statement by saying how "crisp" the Duke's landing was.

Meanwhile, William's wife Catherine looked over her husband while sitting pretty on the shores of a classic Canadian hotel Dalvay By The Sea. After William had landed the copter, Kate greeted him with a big hug and her classic dimpled smile. The Duchess made sure to not pass on the chance to taste the town's best produce, as she slurps a batch of raw oysters freshly caught from the lake.
