86% of Aussie Parents Play Video Games With Their Kids

Playing video games is one of the favourite things Australians do to while away time. The findings of the Digital Australia 2014 report commissioned by the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association released on Monday found that 70 per cent of the respondents play video games and 86 per cent of Aussie parents play it with their kids.

Double Dead: Iran to Execute 37-Year-Old Man Who Survived Hanging

Alireza M was hanged on Wednesday by Iranian prison officials after he was found guilty of drug offences. A doctor examined the body after the 12-minute hanging and certified that Alireza M is dead. His body was brought to the morgue and kept overnight. To the surprise of the morning staff Alireza was still breathing, prompting them to rush him to the hospital.

The Australian sharemarket is higher for the third day, with the All Ordinaries Index (XAO) 0.2 per cent stronger. This as the US Senate has voted to not only reopen the government after 16 days of closure, but also to temporarily raise the debt ceiling. The House of Reps is expected to vote next.
