"Ray Donovan" season 5 is not even out yet but fans are so excited upon hearing news that recently broke out. Apparently, Showtime is adding three new characters for the upcoming season.

Reports have said that Adina Porter, Brian White and Lili Simmons are now all in line to recur in the critically acclaimed drama. Porter will be playing the role of Vicky Delgatti. Delgatti is a fixer similar to Ray (Liev Schreiber). She is reported to appear in at least four episodes of the fifth season. Prior to joining the “Ray Donovan” cast, she was known for her roles in television series “American Horror Story” and “The 100.”

On the other hand, White will be joining the show as a famous celebrity. His character is that of a talented rapper, actor and producer who goes by the name of Jay. In the series, he is considered to be one of the most popular personalities in the world. Just like Porter, White will also appear in at least four episodes in the upcoming season. He previously starred in TV series including “Scandal” and “Chicago Fire” as well as the film “The Family Stone.”

“Banshee” actress Simmons will play Natalie James. She is reported to be signed up for a season-long arc. A star of a huge movie franchise, Natalie is described as a young and attractive actress.

The show is set in Los Angeles, California. The series is about an Irish-American man named Ray Donovan. He works for an influential law firm called Goldman and Drexler, which represents the rich and the famous. Donovan is notoriously known as a fixer. His main job is to arrange payoffs, bribes, threats and other activities to make sure his clients are happy. He even takes care of all shady activities including murder.

In an interview with Yahoo TV, David Hollander discussed the theme for “Ray Donovan” season 5. He revealed that the storyline will focus more on Ray’s personal life as well as Hollywood.

"I think my desire for [Season 5] is really all about a full-on Hollywood assault," Hollander said. "A grand Hollywood year. It's going to be a little concentrated now, but that's where we're going. Family focused, Hollywood, boxing, relationship between Abby and Ray, and the brothers working more closely with Ray," he added.

“Ray Donovan” season 5 is expected to released during the summer in both the US and Australia. It airs on Showtime in the US. In Australia, it airs on Foxtel's Showcase channel.
