‘Pitch Perfect 3’ lead star Anna Kendrick hints possible lesbian storyline
“Pitch Perfect 3” star Anna Kendrick (Beca) has hinted a possible lesbian storyline for the third film in the franchise. It is likely that fans will see more of BeChloe romance, a name derivative of Beca and Chloe (Brittany Snow). Beca and Chloe seemed attracted to each other during their "Titanium" duet inside a shower room. Some fans of the two Barden Bellas have been rooting for them to be in a lesbian relationship and it may finally happen in “Pitch Perfect 3.”
In a past interview with a print magazine, Kendrick has talked about ensuring that “Pitch Perfect 3” grants the wishes of fans. She also shared that she feels more excited about the third film than “Pitch Perfect 2.”
The “Mr Right” star has admitted that making a movie for the fans is not a great strategy all the time. “But these hardcore fans are really, really smart,” she said. The actress’ pronouncements have stirred beliefs that she is actually referring to the BeChloe storyline, which fans have been clamouring for. Kendrick is one who, according to Empire, never gives a boring interview and she seems to be dropping hints about “Pitch Perfect 3” plot.
As of this writing, there is no official word from Universal Pictures about the possible lesbian storyline for the upcoming film. Kendrick has also shared that she is not certain if “Pitch Perfect 3” will be the last in the franchise.
Kendrick said filming all “Pitch Perfect” movies have been great so far. “I would have been really stressed about it if there wasn't so much love for what we're doing,” she said.
The ladies of “Pitch Perfect 3” are also having some bonding time outside the set. Earlier this month, the cast have taken a break from doing the third movie to attend Sunday’s NFC Championship to support the Atlanta Falcons.
“Pitch Perfect 3” also stars Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), Hailee Steinfeld (Emily), Chrissie Fit (Flo), Kelly Jakle (Jessica) and Ester Dean (Cynthia Rose) among others. The movie is under the direction of Trish Sie. “Pitch Perfect 3” is expected to hit Australian theatres on Dec. 22.
