The younger sister of Kate has morphed her fashion sense into a darker, rock chic vibe, and critics are loving the transition as much as her followers.

Pippa Middleton has always been seen in floral dresses, nude jackets, designer handbags, and prim and proper ensembles. But lately, the royal sister has been sporting dark pieces, channeling her inner rock goddess and deeper fashion sense.

Just recently, Pippa was spotted wearing a black dress she paired with matching black suede booties and a bright red bag, worthy of a true rock princess. Pippa was also seen wearing a quilted leather jacket that she pairs with loose shirts and graphic-printed billowing dresses, as if she's all set to go to a music festival.

The younger sister of Kate has morphed her fashion sense into a darker, rock chic vibe, and critics are loving the transition as much as her followers.

What's even more surprising about her fashion transition is her fondness of plaid shirts lately, channeling her grunge inspiration from the 90's. Pippa's choice of plaids will make Courtney Love, Kim Gordon, Liz Phair and the rest of the 90's ladies rock goddesses proud. Also, Pippa was spotted wearing an all black trench coat with contrast white trimmings as if she's a rock star on her own.

Pippa was also seen donning a body-hugging black dress with a plain top and a printed black skirt, just like what the likes of Zoe Kravitz and Zoey Deschanel would wear. Pippa has always been immersed with fashion, and she made that impact when she wore that sleek Alexander McQueen bridesmaid gown for her sister's royal wedding.

Pippa was also seen at the front row of a Temperly London spring/ summer 2012 collection, where she was seated next to Hollywood actress Rosario Dawson.
