It is no secret that “Outlander” star Sam Heughan has fans in Europe, US and Australia. But now, a new video shows women in Japan swooning over the actor. Heughan plays a strapping young Scottish warrior named Jamie on the show and was recently on a world tour to promote Season 2.

A video posted on the Vimeo page of Outlander Japan shows Heughan interacting with some of his Japanese fans. The female hosts of the program got see a trailer of the TV series and one of them appears to have been impressed by the actor’s height.

While interacting with the fans at an event, the actor pointed out how nice it was for him to be greeted by fans in Japanese. There appears to have been a lottery system to choose one lucky fan, who could get up close and personal with the actor. The lucky fan could not believe she was standing so close to Heughan and she couldn’t stop giggling.

Heughan managed to overwhelm her by saying that she looked so beautiful. He even gave her a little hug and posed for pictures with her. The actor revealed that while he was there to promote “Outlander” Season 2, he visited the Imperial palace in Japan. He did not know that no one was allowed inside the palace and compared his experience to people who go to the Buckingham palace in the UK with the expectation that they can go in.

The Japanese fans, however, were not disappointed with Heughan. The actor gave high-fives to all the fans waiting for him, as everyone cheered and clicked photos. The cast members undertook an extensive tour around the globe to promote the show and the tour even brought Heughan to Australia.

Two episodes of “Outlander” Season 2 have already aired. The TV series promises more drama, action and intrigue as the season progresses. Heughan’s character Jamie is still dealing with the dark events from the first season, but he does not allow that to distract him from his mission in France.
