It is finally time for the cast and crew of “Outlander” season 3 to bid adieu to Scotland. Filming in the country has wrapped, and now the team is preparing to leave for South Africa. To mark the occasion, stripe day was celebrated at the office and gifts were also exchanged.

Co-executive Producer Maril Davis announced on Twitter that filming in Scotland has finally been completed. The filming of the last scene showing Scotland on the show had been completed sometime back, but production had continued in the country. The cast and crew were busy filming mostly indoor scenes, which will be shown as locations outside Scotland.

Davis thanked the “amazing” crew on the last day for all their hard work. The team decided to wear stripes on the last day as a way to mark the occasion. The producer shared a picture of her with some of the crew members from office, all wearing stripes. It isn’t clear of they also had the time to have a small wrap-up party. The team is sure to celebrate when the filming in South Africa is also complete.

The producers haven’t shared the filming schedule for “Outlander” season 3. So, it isn’t clear when they will be heading to South Africa. With filming in Scotland now confirmed to be complete; they may be heading down there soon.

While the main cast members Sam Heughan (Jamie) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire) will have to travel, not everyone from the crew in Scotland may be packing their bags. Davis will also not be there for the entire duration. She will only visit the set for a few crucial scenes.

Meanwhile, Co-executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts also took part in the fun at office. He said that the crew gave him the “best gift ever,” which apparently means the “world” to him.

The gift appears to be a painting because Roberts is going to put it on his office wall. He promised to reveal it to the fans later. Roberts is also a writer, so he knows how to build some suspense. The producer is also a talented photographer, and has been kind enough to share many amazing behind-the- scenes photos with the fans online.

While the fans wait to hear about when the show will return, the producers are yet to announce an exact release date for “Outlander” season 3. The show is set to return sometime this year, and the Starz PR will announce when exactly Droughtlander will end.
