Apple iPhone 8 and OnePlus 5 are highly-anticipated devices that are expected to be released this year. While Apple has always been at the top of the smartphone market, OnePlus has turned out to be a flagship killer, offering some of the best specs in the market but at very affordable prices.

However, will the next OnePlus flagship be able to match the power and expectation of the Apple flagship? While none of the manufacturers have released any official information on their devices, it will be interesting to compare the two based on expected specs and features and leaks. OnePlus 5 may soon be announced. The company has really gotten into the habit of producing top-quality smartphones that are taking the world by storm. OnePlus 3T is a prime example of a highly advanced smartphone.

It is also considered one of the best Android phones in the market today. OnePlus 5 could be coming with a Snapdragon 835 processor if the company wants to further upgrade the processor in OnePlus 3T. An 8GB RAM, Quad HD display/dual-curved edge AMOLED screen, 23MP rear camera, USB Type-C ports and IP68 rating are some other features that could be added to the upcoming flagship. As the 3T is already boasting some of the best specs in the market today, fans are clueless as to what else OnePlus could include, writes Tech Times.

The iPhone killer could also come with a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge AMOLED display. The screen may sport a 4K resolution. Latest 3D technology could be integrated in the device. The smartphone could be released in two variants, 128GB and 64GB. PC Advisor notes that the device may have a 16MP front camera. It will run on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The Apple iPhone 8, on the other hand, will come with iOS 11 and an in-house A11 processor. Internal storage capacities of the phones will range from 64GB to 128GB.

The Apple flagship is expected to be either all-glass or all-ceramic. It could feature long-range wireless charging. The iPhone 8 could be coming with a 3D front camera and may also replace Touch ID. In comparison, the OnePlus 5 handset looks equally strong. Both will be packed with killer features though OnePlus will always have the price advantage. The upcoming iPhone will be dropping the physical Home button. Apple is said to be working on three iPhones for this year, one being the special 10th anniversary edition.
