Different reports are currently discussing the anticipated features and specs on the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1020 EOS smartphone. The excitement is intensifying with the fast approaching Nokia July 11 event in New York City where the Nokia Lumia EOS with the remarkable 41MP camera is expected to be officially unveiled.

The Nokia Lumia EOS design has been based from the images leaked at several tech Web sites. Its size and shape is comparable to the Nokia Lumia 920 at only 1mm thinner with a huge rear hole for the camera's lens, sensor and flash hardware.

The Finnish smartphone manufacturer will definitely splash the familiar colour choices on the new Nokia Lumia device. Leaked images have already shown the Nokia Lumia EOS in yellow, black, red and grey colour options, while the white and cyan colours will most likely appear next.

The 41MP camera incorporated in the Nokia smartphone will be its selling point with additional features of Xenon flash, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), oversampling technology and the lossless zoom. An alteration rumoured for the Nokia EOS is the adjustable aperture that allows the users to have more control in capturing images.

Additionally, a video footage has surfaced showing the mechanical camera shutter feature on the Nokia Lumia EOS. The shutter can reportedly make the camera setup easier to permit more lighting into the lens when capturing an image which results to an enhanced photo quality.

Similarity with the Nokia Lumia 920 and 925 indicated that the Nokia Lumi EOS could follow the set up of 4.5-inch screen display with 1280x768p resolution, Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage capacity but the microSD card slot will not be available for memory storage expansion.

Other reports suggest that Nokia Lumia EOS will utilise an OLED screen display comparable to the Nokia Lumia 925 instead of the IPS LCD display found on the Nokia Lumia 920. The ClearBlack and PureMotion HD+ display overlays are expected to be included on the upcoming EOS device as well as the built-in wireless charging feature with clip-on a rear cover accessory.

The latest report on the Nokia Lumia EOS is the Nokia Zoom moniker aside from the claimed Nokia Lumia 1020 codename. The Zoom name was exposed in a trademark in Europe, but Nokia has not given any statement to confirm if they will launch the smartphone under such name in the U.S.

In terms of price, nothing has been confirmed yet, and the circulating reports are only rough estimates based from the previously released Nokia devices. The Nokia Lumia 920 sells at the market at approximately £460 (US$702) and the Nokia 808 with the same 41MP camera technology has a price close to £500 (US$763), while the Nokia Lumia 925 has been given a price of around £477.60 (US$728) so the Nokia Lumia EOS has an estimated price ranging from $700-$770.
