'The Night Shift' Season 2 Premiere 'Recovery' Episode Spoilers: Topher Becomes Temporary Chief Of The ER's Late Night Schedule [WATCH VIDEOS]

"The Night Shift" will air its Season 2 premiere episode titled "Recovery" on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 p.m. EST on NBC. It will feature the show’s cast including Eoin Macken (Dr. TC Callahan), Jill Flint (Dr. Jordan Alexander), Ken Leung (Dr. Topher Zia), Freddy Rodriguez (Michael Ragosa), Brendan Fehr (Dr. Drew Alister), Jeananne Goossen (Dr. Krista Bell-Hart), Robert Bailey Jr. (Dr. Paul Cummings) and J.R. Lemon (Kenny). This episode is about Topher becoming the temporary chief of the late night shift at San Antonio Medical Center’s Emergency Room, or ER.

TV Guide reports that in "Recovery," TC will be temporarily suspended from working as an ER doctor after his Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD breakdown while he was on the job. Topher will take over Jordan’s duties as Chief of the late night schedule at the hospital. Speaking of Jordan, she will undergo scrutiny for her medical mishandling of the man who shot Topher. Plus, a father will be trapped under an elevator. TC, Jordan and head surgeon Dr. Scott Clemmens (Scott Wolf) will try to save him. Ragosa will come back to the ER after surviving cancer.
Guest stars of this episode include Adam Rodriguez (Dr. Joey Chavez), Merle Dandridge (Gwen) and Brit Morgan (Tricia). The Internet Movie Database, or IMDb, also reports that J.D. Garfield (Charlie), Andrea Good (ER Patient), Tatanka Means (Paramedic Gonzales), Nancy Schmitt Farkas (Jordan's Unattended Patient - uncredited), Brittany O'Grady (Alicia) and Cesar Miramontes (Patient) will make an appearance in this episode.
Several preview videos of this episode were posted on the show’s official YouTube channel. One of the videos feature the complicated love triangle between TC, Jordan and Dr. Scott Clemmens. Below are some lines from "The Night Shift" Season 2 premiere.
"This whole Kamikaze battlefield surgery is not gonna fly here," Clemmens said to TC in one of the episode's preview videos.
"I’m the only one who can save that man," TC told Clemmens in the same video.
