The Apple Watch is still several days from physically reaching consumers, but online sources have already criticized it for its battery life, which can only run for as long as a day. Thankfully, a third party brand has gotten into the picture, claiming that they have the perfect solution for the battery life issue.

The wiPowerBand is a cuff that is made of plastic and silicone. It can easily be attached to the upcoming smartwatch, as it is a sleek molded wrist item that fits perfectly under the Apple Watch. According to Coolest-Gadgets, this particular wearable device accessory can double the smartwatch’s battery life.

Moreover, potential owners no longer have to carry a variety of wires and chargers, since the wiPowerBand can be charged with the use of the iPhone’s charger. This gets rid of the need for users to carry multiple chargers during travel.

“This is the first battery product for the Apple Watch that allows the user to wear their favorite Apple Watch band and extend the watch’s battery life,” said Dr. Thomas Giannuli, serial entrepreneur and inventor of wiPowerBand. “Users can also swap wiPowerBands to extend battery life for extended periods.”

Assuming that the Apple Watch takes off explosively as soon as it is launched into the market, the wiPowerBand just might be the smartwatch’s best-selling accessory.

However, Slash Gear has advised potential buyers to take the reports about the accessory with a grain of salt. According to the report, the company had reportedly stated that current data show that the Apple Watch’s battery life can be nearly doubled, but actual performance may vary.

The wiPowerBand will be coming out in two size variants by May or June, as stated by Stuff. The 38-millimeter version will be sold at $89, while the 42-millimeter version will be sold at $99.
