Netflix is arguably one of the more popular streaming sites that are currently available in the market. However, there is also no denying that its type of service is not unique -- at least it was not before the download feature was rolled out.

One large setback in the streaming setup is that various applications require a stable internet connection in order to access their services. Therefore, people might not have the opportunity to take advantage of the services everywhere and anywhere. Furthermore, the offerings of streaming sites are not always stable themselves. Netflix in particular is constantly changing up its roster.

"While many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we've often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things binge while on airplanes and other places where internet is expensive or limited," Netflix's director of product innovation, Eddy Wu, wrote in a web post.

Netflix has finally made it possible to download movies, television series and documentaries from its application. And while not all videos are available for download, there is a significant number of potential offline watches. “Orange Is The New Black,” “The Crown” and “Narcos” are already available for download, and the company has promised that more will be included soon.

Downloading is easy, as Netflix included a simple download button in the details tab of the various videos. The chosen movies and such will the transfer to a new folder entitled “My Downloads.” The feature is avaialble for all account types.

This new feature will change the way that the public has learned to use streaming sites. Gone are the days of searching for a good and downloadable copy of a movie or TV series, as well are the long hours stuck in traffic, airports or coffee shops.

The feature is already available when all iOS and Android users -- whether by phone or by tablet. Individuals will just need to upgrade to the latest version of Netflix to see and start taking advantage of that exciting download button.
