More characters have been confirmed for the upcoming “Lego Marvel’s Avengers” video game, further showcasing the diverse roster that the game has. Much like previous announcements, the recently confirmed characters are a nice mix of fan favourites from the comics and the movies.

Bleeding Cool has confirmed the following characters: Fin Fang Foom, Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy, Korvac, Skaar, Peggy Carter, Wendigo, Crimson Dynamo, Mantis and the Mark 38 armor of Iron Man.

Peggy Carter’s inclusion should please fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), as her importance has increased, thanks to the hit tv show “Agent Carter.” The character has since appeared in flashbacks of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Ant-Man.”

Most of the other characters are relatively obscure, but should provide plenty of variety in the game. Fin Fang Foom is one of Marvel’s very first monster characters, while the Wendigo has been a regular foe for both Wolverine and The Hulk.

Even more interesting is the inclusion of Mantis. According to Comic Book Resources, Mantis might be in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” after Pom Klementief was cast for an unknown role. Her inclusion in the game will only fuel speculation, though fans of the character will surely appreciate her being in the game.

The addition of “Devil Dinosaur” and his companion “Moon Boy” might be to let fans know the Kirby created creature before he debuts in a new comic book as part of the “All-New All Different” Marvel line. Titled “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,” this comic has a lot of hype behind it and it will be interesting to see if Moon Girl makes it to the game.

“Lego Marvel’s Avengers” will introduce a ton of new characters that are part of the new line of Marvel comics, along with characters from the various films. Ms. Marvel, Loki, America Chavez and various characters from the “Young Avengers” show that this will be one of the most diverse rosters ever seen in a Marvel video game.

The game will be released on Jan. 26 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS Vita, Wii U and the 3DS. The game’s predecessor “Lego Marvel Superheroes” is also available for purchase.
