Jennifer Lawrence might be a true fashionista now as she is the face of Dior but the "American Hustle" actress was once a tomboy who did not care about what she wore and how she looked. Her wardrobe consisted of her two brothers' worn-out clothes and whatever her mother brought for her from various sales happening in Louisville, the actress revealed in a recent interview with French publication Madame Figaro.

Jennifer called herself a "true tomboy" and said that getting dressed did not interest her back then as a child. "In Louisville, when I was a child, I inherited clothes from my two older brothers [Ben and Blaine] that I put together with things that my mother dug out of yard sales," revealed the 24-year-old to Madame Figaro.

Her outlook for fashionable clothing changed only when she attended the first Dior collection by Raf Simons, which "blew her away" and made her realise the importance of fashion. The 24-year-old is now seen mostly in designer wear and is considered a fashionista.

The "Hunger Games" actress was nicknamed "Nitro" (short form of nitroglycerin) when she was a child because of her over-active and curious nature. However when she went to school, she lost her spark and became confined to herself. It was only when she started doing theatre she realised her true calling that she wants to be an actress.

Lawrence credits her parents and brother for her success. "My parents have sacrificed for me. They took two mortgages on their homes to come and live with me in New York and allow me to attempt to break into a field that made me happy," revealed Lawrence to the publication adding, that she would be "nothing" without her family's support.

The actress was then asked to name one trait that she likes in herself and her answer was "her ability to laugh at herself." Lawrence says she would not be able to survive the "star system and everything that goes with it" if she did not mock herself. The gorgeous actress has been victim of the celebrity nude photo scandal. The hacker accessed her phone and stole her private naked photos and posted them on the Internet. Lawrence has tackled the issue with grace and has not let the incident affect her life.
