Liv Moore (Rose McIver) will be inheriting some abilities and personality traits of a magician in “iZombie” Season 2, episode 7 titled “Abra Cadaver.” The spoilers and casting reports tease that the viewers will be meeting new faces in the upcoming episodes of the CW TV series’ new season.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “iZombie” Season 2 spoilers.

The synopsis of “iZombie” Season 2, episode 7 on TVGuide reveals that Liv will consume the brains of a death-obsessed illusionist. Liv is going to help Detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) solve another case in the new episode because someone murdered the illusionist in cold blood during a magician’s convention in Seattle.

The new episode’s synopsis further teased that Blaine DeBeers (David Anders) will give Liv some interesting news. As for the Major-Live relationship, Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley) will continue to distance himself from Liv in “iZombie” Season 2, episode 7.

Meanwhile, new male characters will be introduced in the upcoming episodes of “iZombie” Season 2. Variety’s TV News Roundup report confirms that “The Flash” alum Greg Finley has been cast as Drake, a recurring character who knows some information crucial to Blaine.

Finley also shared the exciting casting news through a video posted on his Instagram account gregfinleyofficial. Entertainment Weekly (EW) reports that “Ocean’s Eleven” actor Eddie Jemison joins the “iZombie” Season 2 cast as villain character named Mr. Boss, who will make his debut appearance in an episode scheduled in mid-November.

“It’s a very different flavor from Blaine and Vaughn Du Clark. With Mr. Boss, we wanted to play the mild-mannered, broodily efficient kind of guy,” executive producer Rob Thomas told EW. Thomas further explained that the viewers would consider Mr. Boss a loud and showy character but he is really an affable yet incredibly dangerous man in Seattle.

In a TVLine Ask Ausiello report last June, Thomas revealed that the “iZombie” fans will meet the father of Liv and Evan Moore (Nick Purcha) in the show’s second season. Thomas explained that the show writers kept the character intentionally unmentioned because they have not worked out yet on how to bring the character in and what Liv’s dad would do in the series.

Thomas further added that the team behind “iZombie” has the desire to incorporate the character in the series and they have a neat backstory on Liv and Evan’s dad. “iZombie” Season 2 returns with episode 7 titled “Abra Cadaver” on Tuesday night, Nov. 17, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
