A video titled “Marco Pierre White - How to finely chop onions” has recently gone viral although it was posted on YouTube on Oct. 1, 2013. The four-minute clip has been viewed more than 600,000 times since.

The video features British celebrity chef and restaurateur Marco Pierre White demonstrating how to chop an onion very finely on the radio show titled “The Ray D'Arcy” in Dublin, Ireland. He does not only demonstrate fine chopping of onions but also explains the importance of doing so.

Regarded as one of the original celebrity chefs, White was also the mentor to several leading chefs, such as Curtis Stone and Gordon Ramsay. At the age of 39, White became the youngest chef to have been awarded three Michelin stars. He is now 52.

White appeared in several television shows including “Hell’s Kitchen,” “The Chopping Block,” “MasterChef Australia,” the United Kingdom’s “Celebrity Big Brother 2011,” “Marco Pierre White’s Kitchen Wars” and “MasterChef Australia: The Professionals 2013.”

Meanwhile, White recently inspired a young girl who won a cooking competition in school. Mahnoor Fatima, 13, won the MasterChef-style cooking competition of Nottingham Girls Academy with her steak with garlic potatoes and grilled mushroom inspired by White.
