For her part, Gillian Anderson says her character Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier is going to be more exposed to Hannibal’s brand of darkness. In a scene from the “Hannibal” Season 3 video teaser, Hannibal asks Bedelia if she would be “observing” or “participating.”

In the same video teaser, Dancy points out that Hannibal does not fall for deception. However, Will Graham engages him on by playing with his vulnerability, thus rendering him open to being tricked – even for just a while.

In the video teaser, Gillian points out that Bedelia could be just as dark as Hannibal; she just has not been in a place where she could show how dark she could get. “Hannibal” Season 3 may unravel this dark side of Bedelia in ways that could shock some viewers.

In the premiere of “Hannibal” Season 3, Hannibal and Bedelia pose as husband and wife in Europe. A darker relationship develops between them as they live their new personas.

“Hannibal has assumed a new identity and life in Florence, Italy working at the Palazzo Capponi Museum. He hasn't rid himself of his insatiable appetite and opulent tastes which are still on display,” reads the new episode synopsis on TV.com.

“Antipasto” is the title of “Hannibal” Season 3 premiere. It was written by series developer Bryan Fuller, with help from Steve Lightfoot. Vincenzo Natali directed the first three episodes of the new season.
