Google Nexus 10 2 release date was pegged on the third quarter of this year packed with features such as Android 5.0 and Intel's 64-bit processor, according to reports.

Tehran Chronicle claimed that Google was prepping up to release the second generation of Google Nexus 10 on the third quarter of this year. It was initially reported that Google Nexus 10 2 release date will be on Google's I/O Conference, which will take place on June 25-26 in San Francisco. The tablet will pack new hardware and software specs and features.

It was rumoured that Google's tablet will come with the next generation of Android operating system. Grapevine added that the tablet will come with the upcoming Android 5.0. Other reports said that the next Android OS will be named 4.5 Lollypop.

Moreover, the device will be powered with 64-bit chipset by Intel. BGR stated that Intel unveiled a 64-bit quad core Atom "Moorefield" processor at the MWC 2014 event. This chipset will be available on the second half of the year supporting the supposed release date in Q3.

It is still unknown which company Google will tap to make the Google Nexus 10 2. It was reported that Samsung will make a comeback in making the new 10-inch tablet. If Samsung will take the helm, the recently released Samsung Galaxy S5 provided some hints on some of the possible features of the Nexus 10 2 such as waterproof features, fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor. However, ASUS and HTC were also other possible manufacturers of Google's tablet.
