Google Nexus 10 2 release date is expected to happen at the company's annual I/O Conference alongside the 5.0 version of Android operating system.

Google has kept consumers waiting and anticipating for the second generation of its Nexus 10 tablet. The tablet is still missing in action, especially after rival companies have announced their respective devices.

Google Nexus 10 2 was supposed to be released in November last year as the original Nexus tablet celebrated its first birthday. However, no tablet was found. There were a lot of speculated release dates for the Nexus 10 2, but Google seemed to have no intention in releasing its slate yet.

It was reported that we may see the tablet later this month at the Mobile World Congress event. However, less than a week before the event, Google shows no indication that it will release a tablet soon. On the positive note, the company's I/O Conference is nearing that constantly boast a new hardware. Google could be saving the Nexus 10 2 to be star of this year's conference, according to Phones Review.

Another exciting rumour that is going around lately is that the upcoming tablet will run with future Android 5.0. Although Google has not provided any hint about the operating system yet, it is rumoured that one of the major features of the new mobile software is the integration of Google Babel/Babble, which is the company's cross platform integration service that was previously in beta and attempts to merge all of your social chat services into one.

It is still unconfirmed which company will help Google in making the Nexus 10 2 tablet. Rumours emerged earlier this month saying that HTC won the bid and will take the helm in manufacturing the second generation of Nexus 10. However, Samsung and ASUS are still the contenders in the arena.

Google Nexus 10 2 rumoured features are 10.1-inch size with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, there will be 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor or the NVIDIA Tegra 4, 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. For storage, there will be the standard 16 and 32 GB variants. As for the camera, the tablet will pack an 8MP at the back and the front camera could be 2.1MP. The tablet will also pack a dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-side NFC and a 9500mAh non-removable battery.
