The war against the Night King has begun, and the fate of two major characters hangs in the balance in “Game of Thrones” season 8. The two characters were presumed dead after they were attacked in the last season, but according to a new report the two characters may be alive and well, at least for now. The following article contains spoilers from season 7.

The fate of Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) and Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer) was unclear after the Night King attacked the Wall with zombie Viserion in season 7. According to a report by WatchersontheWall, the script of the finale episode reveals that the two of them are still alive.

HBO recently released the script of the last episode of season 7, and the script has revealed that the two characters ran for their lives and disappeared from view when The Wall fell. The report notes that this is a clear indication that they are still alive, and will be seen in season 8.

There was some concern among the fans that the TV series will choose to show the deaths of Tormund and Beric off-screen, just as they had done in the past with some of the other characters. However, it now appears that the two characters did not die at the Wall, and will continue to fight the war.

Apart from revealing that the two characters are still alive, the script also sheds some light about what the characters were feeling in the scenes. The additional description, which is impossible to show on screen, gives the fans an insight into the minds of the characters.

Filming of “Game of Thrones” season 8 has been completed. The show will return some time in the next year, and this will be the end of the current story. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date.
