The Sand Snakes will be back in “Game of Thrones” season 7. Two of the cast members of the show have been spotted after a long time in Cáceres, where filming for the show has been taking place.

[Spoiler alert]

The Dorne storyline was drastically cut in the previous season, after the lackluster response from the fans towards the new characters. However, the Sand Snakes continue to live and will play a part in the next season, even if it is a small one.

A picture posted on Twitter shows cast members Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand) and Rosabell Laurenti Sellers (Tyene Sand) in Cáceres, Spain. Filming has been ongoing for the show for some time now, but there hasn’t been much news about the characters from Dorne, suggesting a reduced storyline once again.

According to a report by Watchers on the Wall, one or two of the Sand Snakes will die in “Game of Thrones” Season 7. The report speculates that this could be Obara (Keisha Castle-Hughes) or Nymeria (Jessica Henwick) or both. The deaths are expected to happen in a sea battle against Euro Greyjoy’s (Pilou Asbæk) forces.

Ellaria and Tyene survive, but it will be only for them to be paraded in King’s Landing as a prize by Euron. A picture posted on Twitter shows Asbæk on a horse and making his way in what appears to be the streets of the Lannister capital.

Euron and Cersei (Lena Headey) will reportedly form an alliance in the next season in order to take on their common enemies. They will have to face Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and her forces next year.

There are two invasions expected in “Game of Thrones” season 7. The first is Daenerys invading Westeros and the second is the White Walker invasion in the north. The final season in 2018 will focus on the battle between the living and the army of the dead.
